1. Environmental management and accountability

Sustainability in mind, we strive to deliver our services with lowest possible emission while respecting local, everyday life and culture. We regulate the group sizes and routes of our guided tours in order to to avoid congestion and noise in the visiting sites. Likewise, our products pricing is transparent, and we pay employees a fair remuneration for their work.

We strive for continuous improvement in our environmental work and therefore we have public environmental objectives with a target timetable and announced responsible person. These objectives are stated on this page further down. Realization of our environmental objectives are measured quarterly and reported publicly yearly.

2.    Employee engagement

Sustainability issues are discussed in all staff meetings during which personnel are invited to provide feedback and ideas on how to streamline and develop activities. Similarly, staff can influence the content of the list of recommendations we hand out to our customers.

3.    Customer Engagement

We make guide tours mainly on foot, allowing us to produce our services in a zero-emission manner. This also activates our customers towards a healthy, active lifestyle. In addition, we also empahasize sustainable local customs such as drinking the tab water. Likewise, we recommend our customers sustainable local events, destinations, restaurants and shopping destinations.

4.     Environmental (Nature) activities

We recommend a variety of natural attractions for self-guided hiking and outdoor activities. For example, the “With metro to a forest”-style Kivinokka recreational area, Central Park for cycling and Nuuksio for independent all-day excursions.

2. Publicly announced, annual sustainablity goals

We strive continuously to improve our operations. Therefore, realization of these goals will show us ho well we are doing. The CEO of Green Cap Tours is responsible of carrying out measures to ensure fullfilling these goals.

2.1. Tracking visitor counts and group sizes

-Monitored quarterly, as part of our management arrangements.
The results are disclosed internally quarterly. Conclusive results will be included in our annual environmental report, which will be published on our website.

2.2. Monitoring our CO2 emissions regarding transportation

-Tracked quarterly.
The kilometers transported is divided by the number of customers and multiplied by the CO2 coefficient of the transport mode. The results are disclosed internally quarterly. Conclusive results will be included in our annual environmental report, which will be published on our website.
